Car

To get to Cres by car, after entering Croatia you have to drive in direction of Rijeka. There are signs on the road to detour to Island Cres, Krk and Lošinj. If you come from Italy or Slovenia you should take the turn for the Brestova ferry harbour, if you come form Southern Croatia (Dalmatia) or from the Croatia's capital - Zagreb then take turn for the Krk island and ferry harbour Valbiska
Another possibility is to take a ferry from Pula (Istra) or Zadar (Dalmatia) - but this one you have to book in advance.
From the ferry just drive along the road and you'll arive in Cres (from Brestova-Porozina aprox. 40 min, from Valbiska-Merag aprox.20 min)

Bus

The buses to island Cres (and Lošinj) drive from Rijeka, Zagreb (Croatia) and Ljubljana (Slovenia). Other international lines will take you to Rijeka and then you have to take a bus to Cres.

For the time beeing there are no Ship lines to Cres. It is planned for the summer of 2002.

Plane

There is an airport on island Losinj (for smaller airplanes) and other airports in vicinity are Krk airport and Pula airport.

Being an island, Cres has no railroads, so the trains take you only as far as Rijeka, where you have to continue your voyage by car, bus or ship.

Duomo residence is situated on Melin hill. When you enter Cres you'll notice mideval tower. Pass the tower and you enter Melin - first turn right and the fourth left. Here you are!
